How do I get involved?
YOU ATTEND THE EPSTEIN SCHOOL (2 HOURS/WEEK) AND VOLUNTEER OR WORK AS A MADRICH/MADRICHAH (TEACHER’S AIDE) 2-5 HOURS/WEEK AT SCHS OR IN ONE OF OUR RELIGIOUS SCHOOLS.

YOU LEARN MORE ABOUT JUDAISM AT EPSTEIN, AND YOU HELP OTHERS LEARN MORE ABOUT JUDAISM IN ONE OF THE SCHOOLS.
AS YOU PARTICIPATE IN SHALSHELET, YOUR STIPEND INCREASES:
• $72 FOR THE FIRST YEAR
• $144 FOR THE 2ND YEAR
• $216 FOR THE 3RD YEAR AND BEYOND
IF YOU WORK/VOLUNTEER AT A RELIGIOUS SCHOOL AND SCHS, YOU MAY RECEIVE A BONUS.

Madrichim can work with any grade, K - 7; we work together to determine the best match.
Sample job responsibilities include...
Leading small groups, helping individual students, preparing supplies for the teacher, teaching part of a lesson, helping students stay focused, setting up tech equipment or a special project, office projects, etc.
What's the compensation for madrichim?
8th and 9th graders accumulate community service hours.
10th - 12th graders can choose community service hours or pay (minimum wage).
